Therapy Assistant Practitioner Job AT Aneurin Bevan University Health Board with Visa Sponsorship Job Summary – An exciting opportunity has arisen within our dynamic team to work with people who have experienced Stroke or Brain injury as they return home from hospital and rebuild their lives.
The successful applicant will work with a range of professional colleagues including occupational therapists, speech therapists, psychologists, a dietitian, and physiotherapists to support individual rehabilitation programmes with people in their own homes and communities. There will be opportunities to support the delivery of our Niwrostwt Neurological Recovery College programme and online groups. Applicants should have a level 3 qualification in a relevant field and will be required to undertake the AGORED level 4 Therapy Assistant Practitioner practice-based Qualification.

To contribute to the provision of health care to the people of Gwent by providing high quality, effective support and rehabilitation services to people who have had a stroke or brain injury enabling people to return home from hospital early and rebuild meaningful lives. This activity supports the ABUHB Clinical Futures work reducing length of hospital stay, providing care closer to home and establishing home as the hub.
The post holder will carry a delegated caseload of people with stroke and other neurological conditions and will work closely with registered clinicians within the service.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
