Application Support Analyst Job with Visa Sponsorship (COS) at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust – The trust has an ambitious and wide-reaching IT strategy. This includes the support, implementation and upgrades to key systems such as our endoscopy, colposcopy and intensive care systems. 

To support this and to maximise clinical benefits and also achieve significant operational process efficiencies we are appointing an Application Support Analyst Band 5 to support our clinical and non clinical staff with the configuration and use of our digital systems.

The Application Support Analysts will work in the Managed Applications Support Team, which is part of the overall ICT Application Support team, which supports the Trust’s core applications.

The roles include managing Business as Usual requests and on-going system configuration as well managing issues and problems logged on the ICT Service Desk.

Education/ Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Degree or Equivalent Experience
Desirable criteria
  • ITIL

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Experience of Application Support role
  • Experience of working in a highly integrated environment
  • Evidence of having worked to documented standards
  • An excellent understanding of the patient journey and the key challenges Trust clinicians face with respect to use of systems
  • Knowledge of legislation regarding NHS Information Governance
Desirable criteria
  • Experience of working in an NHS Trust
  • Experience of Supporting Cerner Millennium

Skills/Knowledge/ Abilities

Essential criteria
  • Proven Issue/Problem investigation and resolution skills
  • Excellent Analytical Skills
  • Must be able to work to set procedures maintaining accurate records
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Must be able to communicate technical issues clearly to non-technical staff
Desirable criteria
  • SQL or equivalent skills
