Junior IT Delivery Manager Job at HMRC – HMRC Chief Digital & Information Office is made up of Customer Groups which are working independently towards one common goal. Our role sits within HMRC’s Chief Digital & Information Office (CDIO) Group that deliver in-house solutions for projects and programmes that deal with a broad range of business, technical and operational issues. Our CDIO offices are hi-tech, state-of-the-art facilities that allow our teams to maximise their capabilities.

Salary: £31,096 – £33,270

As a Junior IT Delivery Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Supporting Delivery Managers with the delivery of a range of projects of varying scale.
  • Supporting the production and maintenance of end-to-end IT delivery plans.
  • Supporting the Delivery Managers with reporting and communications.
  • Documenting IT risks, issues and dependencies.
  • Supporting the Delivery Managers with cost forecasting and tracking throughout the project.
  • Building and maintaining effective and collaborative relationships to achieve successful outcomes for the business.
  • Being an active member of the Delivery Manager community.
  • Working collaboratively with Product Managers, Delivery Managers and wider stakeholders to ensure delivery is aligned with the project scope, requirements, and timeline constraints.

Essential Criteria:

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate practical experience working within either an operational or IT environment, with the following:

  • Utilising communication skills, using a variety of methods with a range of stakeholders.
  • Utilising organisation and planning skills, prioritising your time and work activities to deliver competing demands.
  • Supporting others to deliver beneficial outcomes.

Desirable Criteria:

  • The successful candidate will have an awareness or demonstrate experience in working in an Agile delivery environment.
