Job overview

You’ll be responsible for the performance, security, and evolution of our IT infrastructure. From maintaining servers and networks to leading technical projects, your work ensures our systems are resilient, scalable, and future-ready. You’ll provide 3rd line support, contribute to strategic planning, and play a key role in our digital transformation journey. 

This is a full-time position, working Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week.

You’ll follow a rotating shift pattern of:

7:30 AM – 4:00 PM 

8:30 AM – 5:00 PM.

There may be occasional requirements to work outside of these hours to support essential upgrades, migrations, or other critical infrastructure tasks. Flexibility and a proactive approach to service continuity are key.

Main duties of the job

What You’ll Do

  • Deliver expert support for server, storage, network, and cloud infrastructure
  • Lead and contribute to infrastructure projects, including upgrades and new deployments
  • Monitor system performance and proactively resolve issues
  • Maintain and enhance cybersecurity measures and disaster recovery plans
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure IT services meet clinical and operational needs
  • Provide clear, timely communication to users and stakeholders
  • Maintain high-quality documentation and change control records

What You’ll Bring

  • Proven experience in enterprise IT environments
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft technologies, virtualisation platforms, and network infrastructure
  • A proactive mindset with excellent problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver under pressure
  • A full UK driving license and access to a business-insured vehicle
  • Desirable Skills
  • Familiarity with Cyber Essentials, NCSC, NIST and ISO 27001 standards
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS)
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and tools
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
