The Data Analysts will report directly to the Operations and BI Analyst. In this role, you will be responsible for:

Key Responsibilities:

Data Collections and Integrity

  • Maintain and develop robust data collection systems to ensure high data integrity and accuracy.
  • Undertake data inputting in accordance with the needs of the business
  • Regularly audit and clean data to maintain quality standards, identifying and rectifying inconsistencies or errors in datasets.
  • Work with internal and external organisations to aggregate insight from multiple reports and outputs

Data Analysis and Reporting

  • Conduct in-depth analyses of large datasets to uncover trends, correlations, and insights that can drive operational improvements and enhance decision-making.
  • Develop and deliver comprehensive reports on key operational metrics, performance indicators, and customer interaction trends to senior management on a regular basis.
  • Utilise advanced statistical techniques and predictive analytics to forecast future trends and prepare the organization for upcoming challenges or opportunities.
  • Develop succinct and impactful summaries of multi-source data sets to support operations
  • Identify blind spots in datasets with the view of developing comprehensive insights on gaps in data
  • Develop and curate emerging trends datasets on issues that will impact operational delivery

Data Visualisation

  • Create and manage requirements for dashboards and visual tools that allow stakeholders to easily understand and interact with complex data.
  • Present data findings in a clear, concise, and actionable manner to a variety of audiences, including non-technical stakeholders.
  • Work with the Operations and BI Analyst to produce insight reports on operational trends.
  • Take a lead on the development and analysis of the experience and issues of operational demands.

Cross-Departmental Collaboration

  • Work closely with various internal stakeholders, including senior management, operations teams, IT, and compliance.
  • Working with departmental Business and Data Analyst, facilitate regular meetings and workshops to discuss findings, align on goals, and ensure cohesive strategies across departments.
  • Identify, Monitor and report on emerging trends across our guidance services and external sources

Expert Guidance

  • Serve as a subject matter expert, offering guidance, support, and recommendations to both the operations team and senior leadership.
  • Provide expert analysis and insights during strategic planning sessions, helping shape the direction and priorities of our service.

Person specification

You will need to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

Essential:

  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (SQL, Excel, Power BI)
  • Expertise in data visualization techniques
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Strong problem solving skills

Desirable:

  • Experience with statistical analysis tools (e.g. R, Python)
  • Pension knowledge
  • Background in customer operations
